Palermo/Kissinger & Assoc PC was founded in 1983 and has been located in the heart of Washington ever since.   In 2015 we expanded our presence in Southwestern Pennsylvania by opening an office in Mt Lebanon.   Since our inception we have focused on all aspects of public accounting providing comprehensive business accounting, consultation, and the full spectrum of tax services.  We prepare audits of for-profit and non-profit entities.  This means PKA can meet ALL of your accounting needs.      


Frank J. Palermo Jr, CPA, CVA

Frank received his B.S. in Accounting from John Carroll University, Cleveland, Ohio in 1974. Frank has over 43 years of experience in public accounting and banking. In 1983 the accounting firm was founded by Frank. Frank is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Pennsylvania Institute CPA’s and is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation and Analysis.  Frank has served on the board of several non profit organizations and also on the board of directors of S&T Bankcorp, Inc where he serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committe. Gary A. Kissinger, CPA

Gary is a shareholder in Palermo/Kissinger and Associates, P.C.  Gary joined the  firm after graduating with a B.A. degree in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College in 1988.  He has over 30 years of experience working with local businesses providing tax, accounting, and consulting services.  In addition, Gary is in charge of the firm’s quality control and each of the firms audit engagements developing a specialty in audits of non-profit organizations and local governments.  Gary is also known as Chip by family and friends.  He resides in Upper St Clair with his wife Amy and two sons AJ and Matthew.  Professionally, Gary is a member of the AICPA and PICPA.  Gary is presently the Treasurer of the United Way of Washington as well as a member of the Finance Council of Holy Child Church in Bridgeville, PA and can be reached at


Frank J Palermo III, CPA

Frank graduated from Allegheny College, in glorious Meadville, PA with a BA in Managerial Economics.  He earned his CPA in 2010.  Frank works in all aspects of accounting from audit work to tax preparation and planning to consulting services.  Frank is involved with non profits in the area and consults the board of directors of Legacies Alive.  When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, dog Birdie and making a lot of bogeys.  Frank can be reached at


Lisa Vipperman, CPA

Lisa received her B.A. in Accounting from King University, Tennessee in 2002.  She obtained a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech in 2003.  Lisa joined Palermo/Kissinger & Associates in 2010 after gaining experience in tax planning and preparation as well as auditing.  In addition, she served as a contracted CFO of a local Nonprofit Organization for over 10 years.  Lisa devotes her time with Palermo/Kissinger almost exclusively on audits of Nonprofit Organizations and Governmental entities.
